Ed Addison
Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Ed Addison co-founded Cloud Pharmaceuticals in 2009. Addison is a serial entrepreneur who founded three previous ventures, two of which successfully merged with public companies. He has a unique and strong blend of in-depth business and technical experience in biotechnology and in information technology. Addison holds an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business, including a diploma in Duke’s Health Sector Management Program.
From 2000-2009, Addison focused on a series of ventures in the pharmaceutical and life sciences space. These included start-ups in the life sciences market, including BioFortis, a LIMS venture in Baltimore, and Inclinix, a CRO in Wilmington, NC, and TeraDisc, the predecessor of Cloud Pharmaceuticals, where he was named "Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year" in 2009. Addison has been working in drug discovery and development for over 12 years. As a life sciences business development professional, he has negotiated numerous licenses for therapeutics and technology. He spent the early part of his career in information technology.
Addison has been an adjunct professor for over 25 years. Previously he taught at Johns Hopkins University where he developed courses in bioinformatics and entrepreneurship. He was the co-founder and program director of the online MS degree in Bioinformatics for Johns Hopkins University's Whiting School. Addison received prior awards for entrepreneurship including "Entrepreneur of the Year" in 1994 by the Information Industry Association, and #51 on the National Fast 500, and Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009. He is the author of a book called Leveraging the Horizon about seed-stage technology ventures.

Lawrence Husick
Co-founder, In-house Counsel, and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO)
Lawrence Husick has thirty-five years' experience as a chemist, technology consultant, computer system designer, software author, and company founder, as well as thirty-one years of experience as an intellectual property lawyer. This diverse background gives him a unique perspective on the issues of management and innovation.
He spent the early part of his career as a chemist in industry, and as a systems designer working on computer hardware and software projects for corporate clients, and for government agencies, including the National Institutes of Health. He is a partner in Lipton, Weinberger & Husick, an intellectual property law firm in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and is an adjunct faculty member at the Johns Hopkins University, where he teaches Management of Innovation in the Whiting School’s Masters in Engineering Management program and in the Krieger School’s Masters in Biotechnology program. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Foreign Policy Research Institute, where he serves as a co-director of the Institute’s Center on Terrorism.
Husick was a co-founder and was both the corporate counsel and systems architect of Infonautics, Inc., a very early Internet search firm, which launched a natural language search system in 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Environmental Chemistry from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.

Lyle Lohmeyer
Chief Financial Officer
Lyle Lohmeyer is a senior financial executive with a successful career serving publicly and privately held global businesses. Lohmeyer has implemented successful business strategies, managed difficult operational challenges, and created transparency and accountability to support key stakeholders including executives, investors, and lenders. He has broad industry experience that includes M&A, fundraising, debt control and administration, and operations management in a variety of industries such as pharmaceutical services, clinical research, electronics, software, and manufacturing. At Cloud Pharmaceuticals, Lohmeyer’s responsibilities include financial management, fundraising, and business development.
Prior to joining Cloud Pharmaceuticals, Lohmeyer has held financial management positions with companies such as AAIPharma, Qualia Networks, Energy Conversion Systems Holdings, Abaco Mobile and NAVTEQ. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago. He holds a BSGM in accounting and finance from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management and a Masters of Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also a certified public accountant.
